Roxy, a native of Canada is an independent artist based between Istanbul and Toronto. Her insatiable thirst and curiosity for knowledge and life pushes her to undertake ventures and studies within the realm of movement.
Roxy's education includes an Honours BFA degree, Stott Pilates certification, GYROTONIC® certification, Prenatal Yoga/Pilates, Axis of Life and Thai Massage. She has been privileged to work and study under numerous Master Trainers from various methods of body therapies.
Past experiences/achievements include teaching Pilates and Dance for the Canadian educational system as well as Pilates or GYROTONIC® for studios, sports clubs and wellness centers in France, Turkey, Thailand and North America. Roxy has taught people from all walks of life including but not limited to professional dancers, athletes, children with special needs and rehabilitative clients. Roxy taught the artists of Cirque du Soleil's 'Saltimbanco' while on tour in Istanbul.
Roxy’s commercial dance highlights include opening for Destiny's Child in Toronto, representing women for Nike Dance Istanbul and dancing in music videos for Kardinal Offishall and Eurovision's Kenan Doğulu. Roxy choreographed her own full length production entitled 'Fairy Tales of Funk' to sold out audiences in Western Canada and collaborated on an independent dance film 'Woman in a Red Dress.' Roxy has also presented avant-garde performances for Supper Club Istanbul.
